Description
Major General Fida Hussain Malik, Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military), (MA English Literature; MSc Art and Science of Warfare; MSc War Studies), was commissioned in the Pakistan Army in 1986. He is a graduate of Command and Staff College Quetta, Defence Inter-Services Staff College Paris, French School of War Studies, and National Defence University Islamabad. During his thirty-three-year military service, he has held key command, instruction, and staff appointments. He has commanded an infantry brigade along the Pak-Afghan border in North Waziristan Agency during operation Rah-e-Nijat and later a multi-national force as part of a UN Mission in the Ivory Coast. He has served as Chief Instructor in the School of Infantry & Tactics Quetta, and as Brigadier Operations & Plans in Headquarters Southern Command Quetta. He commanded an Infantry Division at Lahore, served as Director General Logistics and later as Vice Chief of Logistics Staff at General Headquarters. He was then Deputy Force Commander at the UN Mission in Sudan. Since November 2018 he has been serving as Director General Doctrine and Evaluation.
