Anja Caspary was born in December 1964 in Frankfurt am Main. Her early childhood was filled with ballet lessons, sports, horses and getting into mischief with her elder brother. Her passion for reading was sparked by Karl May’s still popular Winnetou fiction series about Native Americans.

Claudia Arnold, born 1960 in NYC, was partially raised in the American South and Vienna, Austria. Following secondary school in Europe, she studied linguistics, art history and business in the US. After a decade of working in international business, she married a German diplomat with whom she has raised three sons in four continents besides actively pursuing intercultural projects in her various fields of interest.
